Hi, nice to meet you!

I am Tatjana. Yoga-Teacher, Educator and Psychologist with a disruptive passion for students well-being, teachers passion for their work and an insane curiosity for biochemistry, neurocognition and yoga.

I am deeply intrigued by the wealth of knowledge our body has if we just decide to listen to it. Our body is our greatest teacher – and listening to it can be the greatest challenge of all.

During my years of training I learned to listen; to really listen. This leads me to hear the question behind the question and to sense problem underneath the problem. I do not strive to have all the answers. But I do strive to ask you the right questions you need to arrive at the answer yourself.

My training as a therapist serves me as a toolkit, as well as my background in educational psychology, educational consultant, study advisor and coach.

Coming from HIIT exercises, I am drawn to Yoga with its emphasis on connecting to the Body, taking rest when needed and using the breath as fuel to keep the postures steady.
For years I forced my body to perform; on the mat and in my professional life. I exercised like a maniac, cut down on sleep to allow extra time for studying and working out and allowed myself no breaks. When I was tired, I simply got another coffee. Or two.
I was so cut off from my body that I wasn’t noticing the simplest things. A question such as ‘How are you feeling?” would leave me blank and staring. It took me years only to realise, that my honest answer in that situation would have been ‘I don’t know’. How should I know how I was feeling, when at the same time I worked so hard to suppress my feelings in order to perform?
Realising this was the first step for me. Deep work, therapy and buckets of shedded tears later I am on my way back to myself. Yoga was a huge part of that. Yoga and Therapy have helped me to find my way back to my body. Yoga helps me to listen to my body, to know when it is time to turn down and unwind. But also when it is time to rise and let me be supported by my breath.

My yoga-mat was, and still is, an incredible teacher and my process of learning and evolving is far from finished. I completed my 200h Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Amsterdam under the guidance of the Teachers Beatrice Savaris and Moena de Jong.

Yoga is not a miracle remedy – but it has the chance to open doors if you let it.
The journey starts here.

In my free time I stroll through nature and bookstores, play the piano, practice my knitting skills and hide from the world with a good book and a large mug of coffee.
I live with my partner in the north of the Netherlands.

“The conjoint courses Tatjana and I taught within the Professional Skills Program for The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences were the highest rated among dozens of elective courses. Tatjana is an expert in the quality of education and is a smart and enthusiastic thinker. With her help we utilized various tools for quick assessments and gathering peer feedback and facilitating discussions on how the course could be improved. Using the feedback we immediately redesigned specific lectures and course contents adjusting to the needs and desires and therefore got an incredibly high engagement from participating students. When Tatjana taught she provided students with an understanding about topics such as project management, time management, performance and leadership. The classroom atmosphere was relaxed, cheerful and interactive. She knew how to relate to the students very well and how to implement the stories of the students into her message. The approach was refreshing as she also made use of scientifically proven principles and evidence from psychology to strengthen her story. This makes her highly respected in her field. Meanwhile, she also gives examples from her personal experience and asks students questions on theirs. This brought many smiles on peoples faces as they recognised the situations and could emphasise and relate with each other. […]"

"I had the pleasure to work on multiple projects together with Tatjana over the last two years. You can always expect Tatjana to be proactive and full of ideas. One I want to highlight is when she worked as a trainer at LifeVersity. She started by teaching our Public Speaking course and later on co-developed a brand new 8-week course focused on Productivity and Time management. Her passion and knowledge about innovating education and educational psychology were immensely valuable. Furthermore, she is an excellent trainer and educator with great dedication to her students.”
